How to get clarity for making decisions

Making decisions can elicit confusion in our inner world.

Sometimes it’s easy—If you know it’s snowing or raining out in the morning when you wake up, you easily decide to wear your rubber boots. If you’re having a friend over for dinner and you know he’s a vegetarian with an egg allergy, you make a vegetarian dish sans eggs.

That’s because with these decisions, you have the information that you need to narrow down the answer.

It’s hard to make a decision when we don’t have all the information we need. For example, should you take that job? It’s a good opportunity but the commute is long and you discussed the salary yet with the interviewer. You don’t know if you should take the job because you don’t have all the information.

Should you go to Hawaii or Costa Rica for your vacation? It’s a tough decision because you don’t know what will happen in either place.

Our decisions shape our lives

With tough decisions and missing information, intuition can fill in the blanks and help you access your highest potential.

Prepare your intuition for making decisions

Meditation brings clarity and helps foster a stronger connection with intuition.

What is your body saying about that job, that trip, that relationship? If your body feels easeful and happy, that’s a good sign. If your body feels tight and restricted, you are being given a message.

Work with divination tools to get more information

If you’re still confused, divination tools are very helpful to support you in getting more information for making decisions. Journeying and the I Ching can tell you everything you need to know.

The I Ching is an ancient divination tool that is strikingly accurate and helps keep you on path. Ask “what will it look like if I [option a]?” “What will it look like if I [option b]?”

Journeys are helpful because you can communicate directly with your guides. But beware of asking them things like “should I get a new job?” or “should I move to a new city?” or they might play a trick on you to teach you about your own free will.

Your guides are there to provide you with more information about the truth. You make the decisions. That’s why asking the right questions about the true nature of the situation is imperative.
